March 29, 2018, invited by Mr. Byung-ki Kim, the CEO of IONES,  iTOT delegates, led by Chairman Walt Cheng & CEO Richard Shiao, together with its Japan regional manager, Masaki Hamaguchi and other members recently visited the Korea’s leading technology company IONES to explore the opportunity of mutual co-operation. 

ITOT team visited IONES’s high resolution precision cleaning and nano-coating facilities accompanied by Mr. Jae-Hyuk Park, the CTO of the company. Followed with an in-depth discussion regarding IONES’s technology licensing, localization, and landing in iTOT’s high-tech industry park . 

After the precision coating plant’s visit, iTOT delegates also visited IONES’ precision processing manufacturing line accompanied by Mr. Deok-Hyeon Choe, COO of the company, continued with a meeting to explore the possibility of the technology transferring for precision processing, localization for manufacturing in China by establishing initial business via iTOT’s China factory or research organization, as well as other available resources in its high-tech industry park. 

A further meeting was held after the field visit, participated with both parties’ executives include Mr. Byung-ki(Brad) Kim, Richard Shiao, CEO of both companies. More topics were discussed such as the localization of the technology, establishing a high-precision R&D lab, and set up precision cleaning and coating joint venture in iTOT’s industry park. 

A more specific implementation details was drafted for the next step action plan. Further, both parties expressed the initial co-operation willingness by investing a new technology R&D center in China. Once the alliance is firmed, it will increase more value to IONES by adding China’s huge market potential. “IONES would like to work closely with iTOT’s to transfer its sophisticated technology to China by promoting the industrialization cooperation proactively in high-tech field", stated by Mr.Byung-ki(Brad) Kim. He will also plan to visit iTOT and its high-tech industry park in the near future to continue the discussion of joint research lab and local factory.
